hair trends may come and go but my style always stays the same.
it has to be said, i am a complete bore when it comes to changing my hairstyle. i fear the hairdressers as though it was a crofts show, ready to preen me like an overdone poodle and fill my ears with unnecessary barking's about tenerife.
nope, i'm the kind of girl who just asks for "a little trim, no not that much!" in the hope that i'm in and out within 10 minutes. plus, i've never really been into hair trends. i always think they make you look like a try-hard, leaving you to come across as a real high maintenance kinda girl. definitely not my style. however, there has been a hair trend that seems to be exploding everywhere and this is, quite simply, to dye for...dip-dye to be precise.
the look, which was pioneered by alexa chung, resembles out grown roots, managing to look shabby and chic transforming even the most pristine outfit into one that looks effortlessly cool (think more rachel bilson as opposed to shakira though).
you will be finding me braving the hairdressers for this style, even if it does entail an hour and half of boredome. i'm already preparing past zante tales to exchange...
:)
